Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team, where your skills will be valued, and your contributions will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of their facilities and equipment.

As an Industrial Electrician, you will utilize your extensive trade skills and knowledge to diagnose, address, and prevent electrical issues in our manufacturing equipment, machines, and facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize mastery of electrician trade skills to diagnose and resolve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Assemble and install components as required, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Document maintenance and repairs for comprehensive record-keeping and analysis.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from various trades and departments to complete assignments and provide technical expertise.
  • Facilitate repairs of electrical and electronic equipment, including induction heating.
  • Design electrical and electronic systems as needed.
  • Implement program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
  • Manage inventory of parts and materials for electronic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain computer programming to ensure optimal performance.
  • Calibrate eddy current inspection equipment and construct coils as necessary.
  • Ensure proper heat control in heat-treating furnaces to meet quality standards.
  • Verify calibration of measuring devices on RMC to maintain accuracy.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement culture within the department.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to promote a secure working environment.

Qualifications:
  • Associates technical degree or equivalent from an accredited program in a related field preferred.
  • Up to two years of experience as a journeyman electrician in an industrial setting.
  • Previous experience in industrial control systems is required.
  • Advanced PLC programming knowledge is essential.
  • Proficiency in panel wiring is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of three-phase electricity, motors, and motor controls.
  • Thorough knowledge of Electrical Codes and National Safety Codes relevant to the work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
