We are looking for an experienced and motivated Inside Sales Assistant to join our growing team!
Job Description
As an Inside Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and sales support to our customers. You will be responsible for processing orders, responding to inquiries, and providing technical support.
Pay: $20-$23/hr
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process requests for quotes, orders, and other sales-related inquiries via phone, fax, or email.
- Understand pricing strategies, specifications, and certifications and their association with quotes and orders.
- Respond to quotes within 24 hours (with exception of non-standards) and enter into the system.
- Proactively market and sell value-added capabilities and complementary products.
- Follow up on quotes and gather competitive information.
- Accurately enter orders per QCI and SOP requirements.
- Maintain open orders from entry through shipment, coordinating with shipping departments and freight forwarders when needed.
- Resolve customer problems in a timely and cost-effective manner (returns, non-conformances).
- Work with accounting on new account establishment and collections, assisting field reps and creating proper documentation for returns.
- Collaborate with field reps on quote follow-up and customer strategies, and with the marketing group to share pertinent information and provide account information for market code tracking.
- Coordinate logistics for domestic and export shipments with all shipping departments.
- Provide input on stock for contracts and LTAs, working with the finish goods department to maintain proper stock levels.
- Understand US trade regulations.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while interacting with coworkers and customers.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in inside sales or a related field
- College Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Strong computer literacy with Windows-based software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
