Responsibilities/Qualfications for Jackson Public:
Minimum requirements:
at least 21 years old
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work with others
Skilled in general cooking mechanics
Ability to follow directions
Willing to work in various capacities

Child Nutrition Manager

Job Goal
To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.
Essential Functions
Performs tasks assigned by the manager, using equipment safely and properly.
Assists cook as assigned by manager.
Assists in cleaning tables, furnishings, and floors in dining and kitchen areas.
Assists in receiving and storing food items, etc.
Assists in maintaining storage area and inventory.
Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
Assists, when needed, in serving students and staff members.
Operates dishwashing machine during meals.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
Evaluation
The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of personnel.
Salary Information Classification: Child Nutrition Assistant Scale: Classified Grade: A1 Days Employed: Range: Beginning Salary
Exception: JPS employees should refer to the Classified Employee Pay Scale Rules of Administration and Implementation. Overtime: Non-exempt
