Position Title: Junior Product Development Engineer

DH Salary: $60-70K + Full Benefits Package
OVERVIEW
Our client is looking for a Junior Product Engineer for a position located in York, PA. They are a is a U.S.–based manufacturer focused on engineered interconnect solutions, particularly modular connector systems such as RJ?45 plugs and jacks. The company serves a variety of industries including telecommunications, computer networking, medical, premise wiring, data centers, security, healthcare, government, and defense.
SUMMARY
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, learning the ins and outs of product development while contributing to innovative projects that drive our client's success. You will be involved in various stages of the product lifecycle, from concept development to product launch into production, and will have the chance to make a tangible impact in a collaborative environment. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship, all while working on real-world applications that enhance everyday products. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design new products and complete Engineering Changes
- Collaborate with senior engineers on product design and development processes.
- Assist in designing and validating product prototypes to ensure quality and functionality.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Document product specifications, testing procedures, and results.
- Support the troubleshooting and resolution of product performance issues.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient product manufacturing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to inform product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in product development within the electrical/electronic manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency with CAD software (primarily SolidWorks) and tools for product design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (molding & automated assembly) and exposure to a tool shop a plus
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Creativity in conceptualizing new product design concepts
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with PDM tools and formal Document Management
