Lab Technician  
Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking aLab Technician for a long-term engagement at one of our premier agricultural science clients in Newark, DE.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM)
Compensation: $19-21/hr


SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance. This role involves managing chemical inventories, stocking supplies, maintaining clean and organized labs, and removing waste in adherence to site policy and regulations.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety and Compliance:

  • Work safely in the laboratory, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain required PPE certification for laboratory and common areas.
  • Attend safety meetings and complete safety training.
Lab Support:
  • Stock and replenish supplies in designated lab areas to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Remove and dispose of laboratory waste according to site policies and environmental regulations.
  • Keep laboratory spaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and delivering incoming materials.
  • Collaborate with lab staff to identify supply needs and resolve inventory issues promptly.
  • Support audits and inspections by ensuring proper labeling and storage practices.
Team Coordination:
  • Maintain staffing coverage to support lab operations in two buildings

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with handling chemical samples, including commercial pesticides, is a plus.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and work standing on feet most of the day.
Personal Attributes:
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to take direction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to respond well to changes in priorities and tasks performed.
