Warehouse Clerk needed in Elk Grove Village, Illinois
$20/hr
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Filing:
- Accurately input data into computer systems, including inventory records, shipping orders, and invoices.
- Maintain and update warehouse documentation, including shipping logs, receiving reports, and other relevant records.
- File and organize documents according to established procedures.
- Order Processing & Shipping:
- Assist with order processing, including verifying customer orders, preparing shipping labels, and generating invoices.
- Process shipping requests and coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery.
- Track shipments and communicate with customers regarding order status.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock audits, cycle counts, and data entry.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels and discrepancies.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including warehouse staff and customers.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- General Office Duties:
- Answer phones and emails, and direct calls as needed.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Follow the company policy and instructions from Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or office environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in Warehouse Work Environment – may be subject to noise, heat, cold, chemical smell, dust, and other similar conditions.
