Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist, for our client in Elgin, IL.

This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you could get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

Pay: $20 - $22/hr., depending on experience
Hours: 7am-3pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shipping
• Storage
• Receiving

• 70% physical processing; 30% desk work
• Responsible for shipping/receiving and use of forklift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds (labor focused job)
• Contributes to the company's sales and profit through Logistics activities
• Performs Logistics related activities.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements through the company's quality management system.
• Follows all established Logistics' Departments methods, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications:

• Experience with domestic and international shipping, LTL, UPS, and Fed Ex systems preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds (labor focused job)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Warehousing and shipping experience preferred
