Job Title: Machine Maintenance Tech
Location: Sarasota
Pay: Based on experience Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, altering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on thermoforming machines. The Maintenance Worker will perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist electricians as needed, adhering to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, alter, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on thermoforming machines.
  • Perform all required preventative maintenance tasks within specified timelines on assigned equipment.
  • Assist electricians with troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
  • Complete all tasks and documentation in compliance with ISO/SQF standards.
  • Perform tool changes on formers and conduct tool repairs in the shop.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and HACCP practices.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume).
  • Proficient in basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, hydraulic and electrical prints, and procedure manuals).
  • Capable of performing job duties with little or no supervision and able to assist in training needs.
  • Must be Berry Forklift Certified.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs over shoulder height and to waist at least 10 times per day.
  • Ability to push/pull 35 lbs at least 10 times per day.
  • Capable of working at heights and climbing ladders without assistance.
  • Must have the ability to stand/walk for 11 hours of a 12-hour shift.
  • Minimum of four years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of plant start-up/shut-down procedures.
  • Functional knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, plant infrastructure, and vital equipment (towers, chillers, dryers, pumps, etc.).
  • CEW certification preferred.
