Fabrication Technician
Job Summary:

Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Company: Leading Medical Equipment Manufacturer
  • Location: Portage, MI
  • Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
  • Shift: 3rd Shift 10pm-6am M-F
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Operate fabrication equipment and tooling such as drill press stations, weld nut stations, and saws.
  • Conduct inspections using relevant gauge plans and inspection equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues with work centers and parts.
  • Perform set-up, fabrication, clean-up, and quality assurance tasks.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance of machine centers and adhere to 6-S schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with QSR/ISO policies, customer service goals, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with specifications.
  • Strive for product reliability and quality, seeking ways to enhance performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Ability to meet work schedules, including overtime and weekends.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding procedures and instructions in English.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Adherence to safety practices, including good housekeeping and ergonomics.
  • Preferred high school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing and operation of fabrication equipment.
  • Quality training in part loading and gauge plan completion.
