Job Title: Extrusion Technician (Machine Operator)
Location: Taunton, MA
Pay Range: Starting at $18+/hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time

Shifts Available:
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM

  • 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:45 PM – 8:00 AM

About Us:
Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in commercial and medical extrusion operations. In business for decades, we are proud to operate under ISO13485 and GMP standards. We are currently seeking a dedicated Extrusion Technician to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As an Extrusion Technician, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot extrusion manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. You'll also assist with raw material management, documentation, packaging, and serve as a mentor to team members.

Top 3 Skills / Responsibilities:
  • Operating and troubleshooting extrusion machinery with precision

  • Performing quality control using precision measurement tools

  • Maintaining documentation and compliance within ISO13485 and GMP standards

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and adjust multiple extrusion machines

  • Troubleshoot equipment and ensure smooth operation

  • Conduct product inspections using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, laser micrometers, and vision systems

  • Complete all required production documentation accurately and on time

  • Ensure quality and efficiency targets are consistently met

  • Handle raw material monitoring, mixing, blending, and usage tracking

  • Package finished goods and maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Perform full machine cleanouts and changeovers

  • Train and mentor fellow team members

  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental compliance procedures

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with complex medical extrusions (multi-lumen, multi-layer, bump tubing)

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and delegate tasks

  • Strong math skills: decimals, fractions, metric conversions

  • Ability to read and interpret precision instruments

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

  • Flexible with manufacturing schedules and shift work

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical high school or associate degree in STEM preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, or strong equivalent experience

  • Experience in ISO9001/ISO13485 regulated environments preferred

  • Background in medical device manufacturing and melt extrusion a plus
