
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Machine Operator to become a part of our industrial embroidery team in Durham, NC. In this position, you will operate commercial embroidery machines to personalize apparel, accessories, and other textiles based on specific design requirements. This role demands a keen eye for detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
Location: Durham, NC
Hours: 5 AM - 8 PM
Salary: $14 - $16 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor multi-head embroidery machines.
- Read and interpret production orders and embroidery run sheets.
- Load and hoop garments or fabric items accurately to ensure proper alignment.
- Thread machines and change needles, bobbins, or thread colors as needed for the design.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, including correct design placement, stitching quality, and thread tension.
- Perform routine maintenance on embroidery machines, including cleaning and oiling.
- Promptly report any machine malfunctions or product defects to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience operating industrial or commercial embroidery machines is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, measurements, and job specifications.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
