Job Title: Machine Operator – 1st Shift (Technical Skills Required)
Location: Monroe, NC
Pay Rate: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | (some overtime may be required)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Monroe, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, previous experience operating industrial machinery, and the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and quality issues to ensure smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain production machines and equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Set up machines according to specifications and perform minor adjustments as needed

  • Inspect parts during and after production runs to ensure quality standards are met

  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and notify maintenance when necessary

  • Record production data and machine performance metrics

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations

  • Assist with equipment changeovers and preventive maintenance tasks

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1+ years of experience operating industrial or automated machinery in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of machine functions

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety guidelines, and basic schematics

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Skills:
  • Technical training or certifications in machine operation, manufacturing, or mechanical systems

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices

  • Experience with troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs
