Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Lead to manage the maintenance activities for our Plano facility. This role involves overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. You'll be directly responsible for ensuring the proper operation of equipment, machinery, and the overall facility by working closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors. If you have extensive hands-on experience with equipment and machinery maintenance, this is a great opportunity to make a tangible impact on the day-to-day functioning of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks for all facility equipment and systems.
- Supervise and manage daily maintenance work orders, ensuring tasks are properly documented and communicated across teams.
- Work directly with engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed on time and to high-quality standards.
- Track and adjust maintenance schedules as needed based on priority, resource availability, and equipment needs.
- Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments, ensuring all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage maintenance budgets, including tracking costs for labor, parts, and contractor fees.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify issues and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee contractor work, including obtaining quotes, scheduling, and ensuring safety and quality control.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field is a plus).
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a facilities management or similar role, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of OSHA or other regulatory safety standards related to maintenance.
