Job Title: Maintenance Technician Mechanical
Department: Maintenance
Location: Franklin, KY
FLSA Status: Full Time
Compensation: Hourly
Starting Rate: $32.74 with $1.50 shift differential
Shift: Third shift

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from blueprints, diagrams, job request forms, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on all production and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose machine problems.
  • Install replacement parts, fabricate and install new parts.
  • Make additions and modifications to machinery.
  • Set-up and operate machine shop tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications.
  • Perform hand and bench operations using various small and hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain necessary records and move materials as necessary.
  • Assist other maintenance and production department employees with major projects.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, and company rules and regulations.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Applied Science or other technical degree preferred, or 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ability to read and write.

Physical Demands of Job:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance of light and heavy equipment throughout the plant, including conveyors, pumps, and fork trucks.
  • Conduct diagnostic checks and repairs of equipment during scheduled and non-scheduled periods.
  • Perform welding, electrical, and plumbing repair and rebuilding of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
