Kelly Science is seeking a Manager of Pharmaceutical Operations for a growing company located in the Greater Boston Area. For this role, candidates must be willing to obtain the nuclear certification within 6 months of being hired on (company reimburses costs) if they do not already have an authorized user license in nuclear pharmacy.
 
Salary: $150,000-175,000/year (Flexibility on salary is available for candidates who already have an authorized user license in nuclear pharmacy)
 
Shift: Typical hours would be Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
** Overnight hours during part of the training period (approximately 4-6 weeks) and occasionally for shift observations and to cover PTO if needed**

Summary:
As the Manager of Pharmaceutical Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring all radiopharmacy operations within the site are performing to company standard.
Job Duties include:

  • Managing production of all radiopharmaceutical products for the facility
  • Ensuring sufficient doses are produced on-schedule to meet daily orders
  • Supervising all day-to-day radiopharmacy operations
  • Managing multi-disciplinary teams (radiochemists, pharmacists, technicians, QA/QC, etc.) and maintaining a high standard of performance and professionalism in line with company culture standards.
  • Working with Regional Directors of Operations to set and achieve targets for site revenue/profit, quality, safety, and production yields.
  • Maintaining accurate spreadsheets to track radiopharmacy performance, yields, costs, etc. and organize and report quantitative results. 
  • Implementing and enforcing proper Radiation safety (handling spills, contamination, ALARA, etc.) to meet state, federal, company, and customer standards.
  • Providing daily QA of all radiopharmaceutical products manufactured at the facility (quality processes for production and optimization)
  • Providing FDG, NaF, and New Products as required by customers.
  •  Compounding radiopharmaceuticals when required
  •  Dispensing and distributing radiopharmaceuticals properly and accurately when needed
Qualifications:
  • PharmD from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an industry setting (Sterile compounding experience preferred)
  • 3-5 years of management/leadership experience required
  • Previous experience with nuclear pharmacy and radiation safety strong preferred.
  • Must have or obtain a MA state Pharmacist license.
  • If you do not already have an authorized user license in nuclear pharmacy, you must be willing to obtain nuclear certification within 6 months of being hired on (company reimburses costs)
