Direct hire opportunity in Pacific, MO for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer. Manager is seeking someone with 5 - 10 years of experience. This is not an entry level position.
Engineering degree required.
Sponsorship is not available.
$100,000k - $140,000k - years of experience will determine salary
Room for growth and advancement
Must be strong in Mechanical - Electro Mechanical is preferred


SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Engineer will conduct specialized manufacturing engineering assignments to develop new methods, tooling and machine designs, cost estimates, and/or to resolve engineering problems involved in manufacturing of standard products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and guide engineering and technical facets for assignments in the area of obtaining and organizing informational data and analyzing and resolving problems.
  • Prepare and carry out approved recommendations to include tool redesign and alterations, change of material specifications, dimensions, methods, routing, and so forth.
  • Prepare and guide the preventative maintenance program.
  • Through research of advanced technology develop proposals for automation, mechanization, methods, special tooling, machine attachments and so forth for the purpose of cost reduction and/or production improvement.
  • Prepare cost estimates involved in changing from present to new methods; estimate savings expected as the result of such change.
  • Conduct special studies involved in terms of methods, time, and manufacturing estimates on new and complex work.
  • When assigned, investigate various types of new machines and equipment as to versatility and diversification of production features required, prices and other conditions involved and prepare reports and recommendations for management information relative to purchase or lease deals.
  • Work closely with other departments whose services are necessary to conclude assignments.
  • Maintain such records and files pertinent to special and regular assignments:  Through contacts with professional societies, educational centers, tool and machine manufacturers, and though perusal of technical papers.
  • Complete other related duties and tasks as assigned.
CORE SKILLS:
  • Extensive user knowledge of engineering protocols.
  • Knowledge of machining practices and techniques a plus.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics, PLC programming, and robotics a plus.
  • Demonstrated product development skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) technical details to multiple audiences.
  • Skilled with Pro-E software or similar CAD/modeling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and various other applications involved in development and design.
  • Must possess strong administrative, multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work history/training.  With a preference on mechanical, electrical mechanical and automation.
  • Manufacturing and related engineering experience required in various manufacturing engineering functions.
  • Experience with product reliability testing and test laboratory procedures. 
  • Working knowledge of 3D scanning/modeling and associated software.  Experience with Pro E/Creo preferred.
