JOB DESCRIPTION
Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes in
the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Developments,
revises, and maintains quality standards for processing raw materials and/or components
into partially finished and/or finished products. Works on projects to improve
manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and
efficiency. Responsible for the continuing analysis of methods, capacity, process
techniques, equipment and materials to improve productivity in manufacturing
operations applying Customer Production System. Recommends and implements corrective
action for procedures, products, or processes deficiencies. Ensures manufacturing
documentation and process validation are complete, accurate and within GMP
compliance.

Responsibilities:
Comply with all applicable regulations and industry standards.
Analyzes assembly issues and identify, test and implement the most effective solutions in
a timely manner.
Responsible to stop further processing in the event of encountering non-conforming
products condition.
May lead cost reduction activities and efficiency initiatives for the total production
processes, considering, process sequence, router, production tooling-fixturing-gaging
and/or special machinery or equipment.
Conducts analysis on variables within the unit (e.g. rework, scrap, etc.) and address
recurring issues as appropriate.
Designs and/or implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and
evaluating the precision and reliability of products and/or production and/or test
equipment, based on statistical process control, incoming part/product inspection criteria,
automated testing, functional gauging, and productivity improvements.
Designs, build and/or purchase fixtures, equipment and tools as needed to ensure quality
products at minimal costs
Develops systems to keep reports and documentation updated and accurate (MAPs,
MTRs, fixture database, etc.).
Comply with all safety and environmental standards applicable to the area.
Submits periodic reports on assigned topics to appropriate personnel.
May supports Internal and External audits. May train others in Quality
Assurance/GMP/FDA-QSR related topics.
May interact with customers and/or suppliers either by phone or in person to solve
reliability issues, answer general product questions, develop and standardize inspection
methods and or techniques to ensure components compliance with specifications. Assists
vendors in resolving manufacturing and quality issues.
May support vendor management issues, as problem solving, auditing, inspection
techniques/equipment, and/or training.
May aid in the new product development process by identifying effective and efficient
assembly techniques and manufacturing processes to be used.
May train others on manufacturing systems and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May coordinate the activities of 1 or more associates
May evaluate the performance of 1 or more employees based on pre-established
performance parameters
Required Experience:
3 - 5 years related experience.
Experience in developing and working with small group problem solving teams.
Required Education and Training:
B.S. in Engineering.
Masters degree is a plus
