Job Title: Manufacturing - Machine Operator
Location: Beaumont, TX – 10658 HWY 90
Compensation: $36.00/hr
Shift: Other (05:30 AM – 01:30 PM, initial training shift 06:00 AM – 02:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch; schedule may shift as needed to support operations)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (3/17/2025 – 3/16/2026)
Hours/Week: 40
Days: Weekdays

About the Role

As a Chemical Manufacturing Operator with Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS), you'll play a critical role in operating and monitoring sophisticated industrial equipment to control chemical changes and reactions essential to our cutting-edge products. This is a great opportunity to develop specialized skills and grow with one of the most recognized names in the environmental services industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, including safe work permits (LOTO, hot work, etc.).
  • Adjust equipment to control speeds of chemical reactions and ensure product quality.
  • Monitor instruments (flow meters, panel lights, etc.) and listen for warning signals to verify process conditions.
  • Operate chemical processes or machines using panel boards, control boards, or automatic equipment.
  • Record process conditions and instrument readings.
  • Collaborate with technical and supervisory teams to resolve safety, efficiency, or quality concerns.
  • Draw product samples for lab testing to ensure standards compliance.
  • Regulate or shut down equipment during emergencies or as directed.
  • Start pumps to wash/rinse reactors and regulate flows of oil, steam, air, or gas.
  • Notify maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment issues.
  • Inspect and operate utility equipment (towers, boilers, chillers, scrubbers).
  • Calculate material requirements/yields per formulas.
  • Gauge tank levels with calibrated rods and pressure gauges.
  • Move materials within the facility using forklifts or highmasts.
  • Flush and clean hoses, plumbing, and pumps.
  • Connect hoses, fittings, and pumps as needed.
  • Transfer hazardous chemicals between various containers and storage areas (tankers, railcars, packaging, tanks).
  • Inspect PPE and emergency response equipment.
  • Perform cleaning/pressure washing of assigned areas.
  • Conduct general housekeeping tasks as needed.
