Job Opportunity: Manufacturing Plant Mechanic

Location: Pooler, GA
Compensation: $26/hr
Duration: 3-Month Project Assignment
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm

Position Overview

In this pivotal role, you'll tackle a range of maintenance, repair, and service tasks to keep our machines running smoothly, driving high standards in product quality.

Your Impactful Responsibilities

  • Champion industrial safety practices and regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Employ Root Cause Analysis to diagnose and resolve operational errors, leading to effective improvements.
  • Mentor colleagues in crafting and executing Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct diagnostics, lubrications, changeovers, overhauls, and emergency repairs on cutting-edge machines.
  • Execute preventive maintenance with precision and document your work meticulously.
  • Swiftly address equipment breakdowns, prioritizing repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate in developing strategic maintenance plans using advanced CMMS/SAP systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical diploma is a plus, but hands-on experience may suffice.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and adapt to diverse environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to enhance your skills through business training trips.
  • Basic computer proficiency and effective English communication skills.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic in a food manufacturing facility or similar industry.
  • Profound understanding and application of troubleshooting techniques, including pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Experience & Expertise

  • 2+ years in professional maintenance roles.
  • 2+ years in the manufacturing arena.

  • Expertise in CMMS, blueprint reading, and interpreting shop drawings.
  • Strong organizational, reading, writing, and advanced mathematical know-how.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and masterfully operate trade tools and machinery.
