Position: Manufacturing Technician II
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30am – 2:00pm (Overtime as needed)
Location: Saint Paul MN 55114 Position Summary
Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of medical device products. You will be trained to follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), environmental health and safety guidelines, and related regulations. Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are integral to our process. The equipment used will vary by assignment. Essential Job Duties
- Perform a variety of assembly line functions, including:
- Washing components/equipment
- Wrapping components/equipment for sterilization
- Assembly/gluing of components
- Packaging and sealing of devices
- Preparing devices for sterilization
- Final packaging/labeling
- Maintain daily cleaning of the production area to GMP standards
- Operate general production equipment (e.g., sealers, autoclave, stir plates)
- Receive and distribute supplies as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Maintain reliable attendance
- Learn and apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP
- Complete required training in a timely manner
- Perform other assigned duties
- Work may occur in a clean room; PPE required (scrubs, hair bonnets, masks, gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
- Overtime available as needed
- Some job duties may rotate among team members
- Ability to sit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours with breaks provided
- Lift up to 25 lbs individually, or up to 65 lbs as part of a team lift
- Occasional pushing/pulling of carts with product or solutions
- Frequent object handling and hand coordination
- Requirement of 20/25 vision (with or without corrective lenses)
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Basic English oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions, including diagrams
- Basic math skills
