Position: Manufacturing Technician I 
Location:  Newark, CA
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Overtime: Occasionally (few times/month), 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Job Purpose As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will independently execute filling and kit assembly functions in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment. Your responsibilities will include proper documentation, maintaining lab cleanliness, restocking supplies, problem-solving, and supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in upholding safety and quality standards to help meet department objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute filling and kit assembly tasks with limited supervision in a GMP environment.
  • Prepare and ensure completion of production job packets and documentation in line with schedules and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
  • Participate in new product introduction and validation activities.
  • Prioritize and execute high-priority tasks (back-orders, special work orders, reworks).
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment, and proper waste disposal.
  • Order, restock, and organize manufacturing consumables.
  • Actively resolve problems within area of responsibility.
  • Initiate and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards during manufacturing.
  • Participate in cycle counts as needed.
  • Perform routine equipment calibration and preventive maintenance (including defrosting freezers/refrigerators) as required.
  • Assist in other areas to fulfill department goals when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Skills:
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Team player and flexible
  • Strong hand dexterity
  • Good English reading/writing skills
  • Experience:
  • Experience under ISO 13485 standards is a plus
  • Previous manufacturing experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries preferred
  • Prior filling or production experience preferred
  • Working Conditions: Clean room laboratory environment; no travel required.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks daily.
