We are currently seeking Corn Sorters to join our team in the Rushville,IN area. As a Corn Sorter, you will play a crucial role in the corn sorting process, ensuring that only high-quality corn is selected for further processing. Your responsibilities will include overseeing sorting at individual sorting conveyors, distinguishing good versus bad quality corn, identifying defects, and appropriately removing the product from conveyor belts. You will work closely with a team of full-time employees to maintain a smooth and efficient sorting operation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee corn sorting at individual sorting conveyors.
• Distinguish between good and bad quality corn, ensuring only high-quality corn is selected.
• Identify defects such as mold, discoloration, or physical damage to the corn.
• Appropriately remove defective corn from the conveyor belts and dispose of it as per company guidelines.
• Ensure that the sorting process is conducted efficiently and meets quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• Experience in farming or cropping is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to differentiate between quality levels and defects.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and adherence to them.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
