Kelly Services is seeking for a Material Handler (1st Shift) Location: New Brighton, MN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Central)
Pay rate: $22.75hr Job Description As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the efficient movement, packaging, shipping, and receiving of materials throughout our facility. This position requires attention to detail, effective communication with various departments, and competency in using material handling equipment. Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material handling transactions with the appropriate individuals and departments.
- Select, pick, inventory, and package items; route packaging materials to their proper destinations.
- Prepare and/or assist with merchandise shipment.
- Maintain records and files of material transactions, and verify shipment accuracy using Oracle or other systems.
- Set up locations in ERP systems; resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies with buyers.
- Organize stock for optimal efficiency and accessibility; adhere to all safety guidelines and operate forklifts and material-moving equipment as necessary.
- Deliver products from receiving to specific destinations within the facility.
- Expedite internal material requirements, including inventory transfers to multiple locations (such as MRB).
- Set up material presentations within cells using DBS tools such as Danaher Material Processing (DMP) and Visual Management.
- Conduct physical and electronic material inventories and cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies with supervisory assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year(s) of warehouse, material handling, or shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) helpful.
- Familiarity with DBS tools and Danaher Material Processing (DMP) a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or willingness to train.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Team player with good communication skills.
