Material Handler/forklift
Bothell, WA
$22.54/hr


Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler/Forklift to join our team for a duration of 12 months. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near our plant or work site. Your attention to detail and knowledge of batch/lot numbers and expiration dates will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. Forklift experience is preferred for this role. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Temporary (12 months)
- Location: Bothell, WA
- Pay Rate: $22.54 per hour
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm


Roles and Responsibilities:
- Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves manually.
- Load materials into vehicles and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, wheelbarrows, or other devices.
- Attach lifting attachments to materials and transport loads to their destination using hand-operated cranes, hoists, or by signaling crane or hoisting operators.
- Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and secure them with a banding machine and clincher.
- Clamp sections of a portable conveyor together or place conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate the movement of materials or products.
- Remove samples of materials, label them with identifying information, and take them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Lift heavy objects by hand or using a power hoist and maintain a clean work area by sweeping, using rags, and cleaning compounds.
- Make simple adjustments or repairs, such as realigning belts or replacing rollers, using hand tools.
- Operate propane sit-down forklifts and electric walkie stackers.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Forklift experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of batch/lot numbers and expiration dates is required.
- Ability to read work orders and follow verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
- Basic mechanical skills for making simple adjustments or repairs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
