Job Summary:

The Quality Microbiology Technician oversees daily operations in the micro lab, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations through microbiological testing.

Key Responsibilities include maintaining safety protocols, adhering to quality standards, and conducting tests accurately and on schedule.

Essential duties include: collecting samples, recording test results, ensuring equipment proficiency, managing supplies, and communicating out-of-specification results. The role also involves maintaining lab cleanliness, assisting with other tasks as needed, and collaborating with various departments to enhance quality and efficiency. 

Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience in Food/Beverage Manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Experience:
- AS or BS in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality, or related field.
- 3+ years of Quality experience in manufacturing, preferably in food/beverage.
- Knowledge of quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, and SQF preferred.

Job Details:
- Location: Joplin, MO
- Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Pay rate: $25-29/hour
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (Contract-to-Perm)
- This will begin as a 6-month contract, potential to extend or conversion to full-time permanent employee
