Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician near Bartlett, IL.

Temp to Hire
Shift: Monday – Friday 6:30am -2:30pm; 7:30am – 3:30pm; or 8am-4pm
Compensation: $24-$28/hr DOE
Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Quality team as a Micro Lab Technician. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to support ongoing research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of experiments by preparing and maintaining equipment and gathering specimen samples for analysis.
  • Conduct microbiological tests and experiments, including culturing, identifying, and enumerating various microorganisms.
  • Perform microbiology analysis on finished products, raw ingredients, and in-process materials (e.g., aerobic plate count, yeast/mold count, lactic acid bacteria count, presence/absence of pathogenic bacteria) to ensure conformance with required specifications following defined cultural techniques and procedures.
  • Prepare media, reagents, and other laboratory materials to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of all laboratory procedures and findings.
  • Assist in the interpretation and analysis of data to support the development of new products or processes.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the laboratory environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of lab experience, preferably in a microbiology or research-focused role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols and procedures.
  • Aptitude to work independently and within a team environment.
