Monetary Gift Processor

Location: Dallas, Texas
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, $22hr
 
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Monetary Gift Processor to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for accurately recording, processing, and reconciling all monetary gifts and donations received by the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of donor records, maintain confidentiality, and provide timely acknowledgment of contributions to support strong donor relationships and financial accountability. Looking for someone with an accounting background.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process all monetary gifts, pledges, and payments received through multiple channels (mail, online, events, wire transfers, etc.)
  • Review, verify, and post gift transactions in the donor management or financial system
  • Prepare and issue donation receipts, acknowledgment letters, and reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and IRS regulations for charitable contributions
  • Reconcile daily gift batches and collaborate with finance to ensure accurate deposits and reporting
  • Maintain donor data integrity by updating contact information, gift designations, and communication preferences
  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to gift processing or donor accounts
  • Support fundraising and development staff with accurate reporting, audit requests, and special campaigns
  • Handle confidential donor information with discretion and professionalism
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in data entry AND accounting, or gift processing (nonprofit or fundraising experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with CRM or donor databases preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial records
