Kelly Professional & Light Industrial is looking for On-Call Warehouse Workers to fill Palletizing and Forklift positions as Needed at a premier Food Manufacturing company in Rome, GA. Shift and Pay Rate:
Day Shift- 6:00AM- 6:00PM (Monday- Friday)
Evening Shift-6:00PM-6:00AM (Monday- Friday)
Schedules: 12-hour shifts working 2 on/2 off, 3 on/3 off working every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
$24.00 per hour (SHORT-TERM ROLE)
Project expected to run from March 28th until April 8th. Good workers may be kept on or hired for other roles within the company, and/or given priority for upcoming jobs.
What's a Typical Day as a Palletizing Laborer:
• Move 50-pound bags from a conveyor belt and hand stack them onto a pallet continuously. The conveyor is waist high. Some bending over required when stacking
What's a typical day as a Forklift Operator?
• Prepare and complete pallets and warehouse orders for delivery or pickup
• Maintain shipping supplies to ensure order ships on schedule
• Receive and process warehouse stock
• Maintain inventory control, ensuring accuracy in item count and location
• Inspect incoming and outgoing material to ensure quality, quantity, and item accuracy
• Prepare records and reports as required
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Have basic computer knowledge, including the use of Microsoft Office products
• Have 1 year of experience in a manufacturing warehouse, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility
• Have 1 year forklift of experience
• Must be able to work in uncomfortable environments including hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Possible exposure to nut allergens.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
• Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as require
