Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm EST
Location:  8301 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL 32514 – ONSITE
Position:  Pensacola Onsite Logistics
Pay rate:  $23/hr


Job Summary:

This position will be for a Logistics Analyst – Pensacola Onsite who is responsible scheduling and coordinating the pick-up and delivery of GE Pensacola finished goods to their North American project or inventory sites, while minimizing transit time and logistics costs. This position will identify and analyze cost savings solutions through the implementation of load optimization strategies at an operational level. Responsibilities will include identifying commodity and equipment configurations needed to transport freight, recognizing and alerting carriers when freight requires additional special handling requirements, and highlighting carrier's inability to meet need dates and implementing scheduling solutions.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Schedule/Plan daily Pensacola outbound load plan between truck and rail to Project Sites and transit yards to include carrier coordination, document preparation, tracking and delivery confirmation of all shipments 
•    Communicate with various parts of the supply chain, providing status updates and reports of shipments to suppliers, carriers, buyers, and operations leaders as needed 
•    Analyze GE demand plan and sourcing equipment Line of Balance to identify appropriate carrier and equipment type to execute required delivery timeline of all Pensacola components
•    Communicate between the plant, logistics team and projects team potential delays due to production issues or site delays
•    Manage the truck / fixture lot and assist in maintaining driver check in station and providing daily finished goods inventories
•    Back up the Pensacola fixture routing duties when required
•    Assist with fixture lot inventories and physical inventory counts/audits both onsite and at offsite locations
•    Collaborate with sourcing team or source transportation suppliers as needed to meet all delivery timelines and transportation requirements
•    Provide carrier performance feedback to sourcing team for proper management of carriers
•    Update and maintain all systems of record with accurate, timely shipment information
•    Proactive management of shipment schedules to meet all deliveries of components and all internal metric deliverables
•    Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required to meet GE demand plan

Required Qualifications & Experience:

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    4+ years of experience working in Logistics/Supply Chain/Project Management or related field
•    Able to connect and communicate across all levels of internal colleagues/stakeholders.
•    Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel, Moderate Proficiency in all other MS Office programs; Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•    Fluent and proficient in both spoken and written English
•    Willing to work a flexible / split shift
•    Willing to work outside in various weather conditions – office space will be in the GE truck parking lot working directly with drivers



Desired Characteristics:

•    Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Project Management, or Business Management)
•    2+ years of experience with Over-Dimensional freight movement
•    Working knowledge and application of Project Logistics Scheduling
•    Capability to learn new software quickly and integrate knowledge into solutions
•    Ability to multitask in a demanding work environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
•    Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle high pressure, time sensitive issues
•    Exceptional planning, organizing and follow-up skills
•    Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, both proactive and reactive
•    A self-starter, passion for improvement, and desire to learn
•    Good oral and written communication skills
