Operations Clerk
Assignment Length: 90-day contract
Location: Aurora, IL
Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible 7:00 or 8:00 AM start)

Occasional voluntary overtime and Saturdays
The Operations Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to warehouse and operations leadership. This role supports daily logistics processes, documentation, and coordination activities in a fast-paced distribution environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with systems and spreadsheets, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform clerical and administrative duties to support daily operations

Set up and coordinate backhauls for driver pickups

Assist with EZ Claims, ensuring timely resolution and accurate closeout

Support the Will Call process and work closely with the Will Call Clerk on a daily basis

Assist other clerks with end-of-day processing and operational documentation
-
Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and operations teams
-
Enter, track, and maintain accurate data in internal systems and spreadsheets
-
Walk between docks as needed, including work in cold storage areas (approx. 35°F)
-
Adhere to company safety policies and operational procedures
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
1+ year of clerical, operations, or administrative experience
-
Strong Excel proficiency and general computer skills
-
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency
-
Ability to work onsite in a warehouse/distribution environment
-
Experience with Blue Yonder and/or SAP (training provided)

Background in food distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations
-
Experience in similar roles such as Receiving Clerk, Clerical Lead, or Quality Control Clerk

Strong ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Hard-working and adaptable in an occasionally fast-paced or chaotic environment

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude

Reliable, organized, and proactive
-
Onsite warehouse and office setting
-
Regular movement between docks and office areas
-
Exposure to refrigerated environments; warm clothing required
