Job Title: Groundskeeper / Trail Crew Member
Location: Irving, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper / Trail Crew Member to join our team in Irving, TX. This is a hands-on, outdoor position ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and have experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance. The successful candidate will support trail construction, site maintenance, and environmental restoration efforts on natural green spaces and trails.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the construction, maintenance, and renovation of trails and parkland.

Perform routine grounds work, including planting, thinning vegetation, invasive species removal, and trash/litter cleanups.

Operate hand tools and light machinery such as chainsaws, skid steers, and excavators (training available if needed).

Follow safety protocols and instructions from the Trail Crew Lead.

Support volunteer and youth programs with setup, guidance, and cleanup during community workdays or weekend events.

Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and work areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, trail maintenance, or similar outdoor labor.

Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Familiarity with basic mechanical and woodworking tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience operating small machinery and tools (chainsaws, skid steers, etc.) is a plus.
Requirements:

Must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Minimum 5 years of driving experience.

Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding work daily.

Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and humidity.

Ability to speak, read, and understand standard English.

Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This position requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, and outdoor labor. Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including high heat, humidity, rain, and cold.
