Pavement Marking Superintendent
Location: Fargo, ND
Pay Rate: In Season $40+ per hour based on experience / off season $30 per hour 
Schedule: 8a - 5pm Monday to Friday; OT on Saturday
Travel: Yes, extensive travel across the state for multiple days/weeks at a time.

Job Summary:
The Pavement Marking Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing pavement marking projects from start to finish. The role ensures that all crew members are trained, efficient, and following safety standards while performing their tasks. This position involves assisting with project preparation, layout, installation, and the maintenance of equipment. The superintendent is also responsible for managing traffic control plans and ensuring smooth operations on each project site. As the primary on-site contact for clients, the superintendent will maintain communication with customers, ensure accurate documentation, and provide feedback for crew development and performance improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage pavement marking crews on various DOT Government projects.
  • Ensure crews are properly trained and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with project layout, preparation, and installation of pavement markings.
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of project equipment, conducting necessary maintenance.
  • Manage traffic control plans to ensure smooth operations and safety during project execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers on-site.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular reports to management.
  • Provide performance feedback to crew members to ensure continual improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must possess a valid CDL Class B.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in pavement marking, construction, or a related field.
  • Ability to work long hours during peak season and travel across the state for extended periods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards on all projects.
