Pay Rate: $18.40/hour
Schedule: Monday- Friday from 8AM-5PM
Must be available to be on-call on some weekends.

What's a typical day as a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Technician? You'll be:
- Conducting initial level medication prior authorization, exception, and medical necessity reviews to determine coverage under the member's benefit.
- Collaborating with clinical pharmacists and providers to assess whether specific cases meet approval criteria according to medical or prescription drug policies.
- Acting as a resource for staff regarding member-specific contract benefits and assisting with inquiries related to prior authorization processes.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma with a minimum of two years of experience in a health-related field; an associate degree is preferred.
- Hold a Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT), or have a background as an LPN or Medical Assistant/Technologist.
- Are able to work in a typical office environment and can manage prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation.
