This is a direct hire Plating Manager position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:
• Coordinate team scheduling, task assignments, resource management, and cross-training in collaboration with other departments, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate policies and expectations, provide ongoing training, and hold team members accountable to ensure high performance and morale through effective leadership.
• Champion recipe creation, chemical handling, analysis, and tank maintenance in coordination with engineering, lab, and waste treatment requirements.
• Develop and maintain checklists for daily operations, startups/shutdowns, and equipment; train team members to follow these processes.
• Investigate material defects, implement corrective actions, and educate the team on quality and production issues.
• Assist in creating and communicating work instructions, proactively training employees, and supporting project requests from engineering teams.
• Oversee successful program launches and process developments, enhance team knowledge through visual management aids, and ensure compliance through clear communication and effective meetings.
• Prepare and communicate daily production reports, maintenance requests, and updates on successes or issues to both the team and upper management, ensuring timely information flow and problem resolution.
• Enforce PPE and safety requirements, holding personnel accountable for any violations or unsafe behavior.
Required Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of plating or production manager experience
• 2+ years of team lead or production supervisor experience
• Proven ability to build cohesive teams, resolve complex issues, and lead effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math and computer operation (MS Office Suite) skills
