Location: Franklin, TN
Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm
Pay: $17.00/hour

Job Title: Press Operator
Job Summary:
The Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining press machines to produce high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have the ability to monitor machine performance, ensure operational efficiency, and perform quality checks on finished products.
Essential Functions:

  • Set up and operate press machines to ensure optimal performance and output.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure the quality and conformity of products.
  • Conduct regular quality checks, including measuring dimensions and examining surface finish.
  • Adjust machine settings such as pressure, speed, and cycle times according to material and product specifications.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, and safety matters to the team and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely machine repairs and maintenance.
  • Record and report production data, such as quantities, materials used, and any discrepancies.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience working as a Press Operator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating press machinery and understanding of pressing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are typical for this type of role. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate machinery. The role requires good hand-eye coordination and may involve some lifting and bending.
