Job Title: Procurement Analyst – Defense Procurement Compliance (Temporary Role)
Location: DFW Airport
Job Type: Temporary Contract
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Defense Procurement Compliance Analyst to support key initiatives related to U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) procurement compliance. This temporary role will focus on the development and documentation of policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms to ensure alignment with federal contracting requirements. The ideal candidate will also support system and process transitions from manual workflows to ERP-based solutions.
This is a cross-functional role that will engage with multiple departments and business units to help standardize procurement practices, improve compliance reporting, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Small Business Program Compliance

Assist with small business participation in proposals and contracts

Develop/review Small Business Subcontracting Plans for bids and proposals

Track small business utilization and prepare reports such as Individual Subcontracting Reports (ISRs) and Summary Subcontracting Reports (SSRs)

Review and approve subcontractor small business plans and reports

Ensure audit readiness and documentation for government contracts

Create templates, reporting forms, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency
Policy and Procedure Management

Collaborate with procurement, legal, compliance, and finance to update procurement policies and manuals

Benchmark internal policies against federal and industry best practices

Update internal documents (forms, checklists, templates) to reflect current regulations

Propose and support the transition from paper-based processes to digital solutions

Develop training and communications to increase internal compliance awareness
Process Automation & ERP Integration

Support the migration of subcontracting data from manual storage to ERP systems

Document SOPs for subcontract review, approval, and data entry in ERP

Assist with ERP-related change management and data validation efforts
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field

5+ years of experience in U.S. Government contracting or procurement
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
-
Strong understanding of DoD procurement regulations and FAR requirements

Familiarity with Small Business Program compliance (ISR, SSR, DCMA audits)

Working knowledge of CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) and incurred cost submissions

Experience in creating and managing procurement SOPs and compliance documentation

Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, operational procedures

Strong collaboration, analytical, and written communication skills

ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) is a plus
