Manufacturing Operator / Production Technician

Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Training Schedule: Monday – Friday (first 3–4 months)

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and maintaining accurate inventory and production records. This role supports the conversion of raw materials into finished goods while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment to produce finished goods from raw materials

  • Monitor production processes and perform in-process quality checks

  • Conduct routine tests to ensure products meet specifications (e.g., hardness, weight, variation, pH, moisture content)

  • Maintain accurate inventory and production records, including materials in process

  • Identify equipment malfunctions or product defects and assist with troubleshooting to maintain optimal production levels

  • Follow blueprints, schematics, subassembly layouts, and work instructions

  • Track orders received, work completed, and inventory usage

  • Coordinate workload, staffing, and equipment capacity based on inventory and production needs

  • Requisition materials and support scheduling activities in collaboration with production, materials planning, and maintenance teams

Skills & Qualifications
  • 1+ year of relevant manufacturing, production, or vocational experience preferred

  • Ability to apply job skills, company policies, and standard operating procedures

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic math and data recording skills

  • Ability to recognize when deviation from standard procedures may be required

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently in a semi-routine, fast-paced production environment

Job Scope & Complexity
  • Duties are varied and semi-routine

  • Requires sound judgment within established procedures

  • Occasional problem-solving related to equipment, quality, or workflow issues
