Production Technician I (Plating Technician – 2nd Shift)
Location: Plymouth, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Pay Range: $17.50 – $25.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

We're hiring a Plating Technician to join our 2nd shift production team. In this role, you'll perform chemical plating processes that enhance product durability, conductivity, and compliance with customer specifications. Ideal for individuals who thrive in hands-on, detail-oriented environments and are looking to grow with a stable, employee-owned company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate plating equipment and follow detailed process instructions to apply metal finishes

  • Interpret job travelers and special instructions to meet exact specifications

  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, gauges, and test instruments

  • Accurately record measurement data and maintain detailed logs

  • Monitor plating bath chemistry and equipment for optimal performance

  • Report defective parts or process irregularities to team leads

  • Conduct basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Work independently while meeting production schedules and quality standards

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in plating, chemical processing, or manufacturing is preferred but not required

  • Ability to read and interpret job travelers and use standard measuring tools

  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset

  • Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision

  • Team-oriented with solid communication skills
