Project Manager (Automation) | Rolling Meadows, IL

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to oversee service projects for our client, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget, and schedule. This role involves coordinating across teams, managing risks, and delivering outstanding service to drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute service projects, aligning with customer requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Define project objectives, resource needs, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers, sales, engineering, operations, and field teams to resolve technical, financial, and scheduling issues.
- Prepare and present progress reports, schedules, and performance updates.
- Manage project risks, scope changes, and contingency planning.
- Track financial performance, update forecasts, and mitigate cost overruns.
- Ensure successful on-site execution in collaboration with service and operations teams.
- Address troubleshooting requests, document issues in the CRM system, and follow through to resolution.
- Provide technical feedback to engineering on equipment performance and reliability.
- Maintain customer relationships through regular performance reviews and issue resolution.
- Utilize CRM, ERP, and other technologies to enhance project execution.
- Support service request ticket management to successful closure.
- Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in automation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D).
- Experience using inspection and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.).
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work independently.
- Capable of influencing without direct authority.
TRAVEL: Approximately 35% (including occasional international travel)

- Base pay ($95,000 - $110,000) + incentive bonus (Based on project status and performance)
