Strategic Sourcing Manager
Location: New Jersey
Salary: 120K
Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8am-4pm Hybrid
Position Overview:

In this role, you'll provide strategic sourcing expertise, acting as a liaison with executives and business partners to optimize sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate contracts to maximize value and minimize risk. You'll drive sourcing initiatives within your category specialty, support governance programs, and collaborate on best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, optimizing sourcing strategies to align with business goals.
- Build and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with sourcing policies.
- Lead sourcing initiatives, governance, and risk mitigation for your assigned category.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making within business partner strategies.
- Conduct research and analyze trends to guide sourcing improvements and strategic direction.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies; escalate issues when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing performance, implementing enhancements, and overseeing remediation actions.
- Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of risk management and operational efficiency.
- Mentor team members, share best practices, and lead cross-functional projects to support team growth.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, translating complex ideas into actionable solutions for stakeholders.
- Post-secondary degree required.
- 7+ years in relevant roles.
- Advanced Negotiation: Skilled in complex IT contract negotiations.
- Expertise in creating and aligning sourcing strategies with business goals.
- Enhances supplier performance in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Proficient in identifying and mitigating sourcing and supply chain risks.
- Skilled in managing complex contracts, including terms, conditions, and performance metrics.
