Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician near Eau Claire, WI.
 

Direct Hire

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Shift: 6:00 AM–6:10 PM (2-2-3 schedule) OR 6:00 PM–6:10 AM (2-2-3 schedule)
  • Training: Monday–Friday, 1st shift
  • Starting Pay: $26/hour base
  • Shift Differential: Additional $2/hour (night shift)

 

Overview:

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining manufacturing facility hygiene by performing routine and ad hoc environmental microbiological swabbing and associated analysis. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, executing, and documenting swabbing activities, communicating with third-party laboratories, shipping samples, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and pest control programs. The QA Technician also supports cross-functional teams in responding to Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) deviations, and may execute sanitation tasks within the QA laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, organize, and label swabbing materials.
  • Conduct routine and as-needed environmental swabbing throughout facility, utilizing hygienic practices to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for swab analysis, including data entry in 3rd party laboratory portals and swabbing software.
  • Arrange shipment and carrier pickup of samples for delivery to external laboratories.
  • Verify Master Sanitation Program compliance and support pest control efforts by logging findings and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Facilities departments to address EMP deviations.
  • Perform sanitation activities within the QA laboratory as required.
  • Adhere to company good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and safety protocols.
  • Restock supplies and ensure swabbing preparation areas are clean and organized.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate's Degree or minimum 5 years relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Coursework or experience in microbiology and pathogen analysis.
  • Knowledge of aseptic and microbiological sampling techniques.
  • Prior experience in Quality Control preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of basic microbiology principles.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
