What's a typical day as a QC Inspector I?

You'll be:

  • Performing inspections using engineering drawings, work instructions, technical specs, and QA procedures.

  • Conducting preliminary, progressive, and final inspections on aircraft structures and systems.

  • Verifying functional operations, FOD checks, and documentation accuracy.

  • Witnessing, verifying, and documenting manufacturing process steps.

  • Performing conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures.

  • Ensuring proper use and storage of tools/equipment.

  • Promoting health, safety, and product safety by working safely and supporting risk reduction initiatives.

  • Supporting manufacturing teams with technical expertise and participating in continuous improvement activities.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1 year of quality inspection experience OR 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience.

  • 2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience (preferred).

  • Ability to complete a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days.

  • Working knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading/interpretation (CATIA preferred).

  • Competency in the use of basic shop tools and inspection equipment.

Additional Details
  • Must follow all safety and quality standards, including tool control and FOD prevention programs.

  • Work may involve area inspections to verify compliance with standards and procedures.
