Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Compliance Manager near Allerton, IA.

Direct Hire
Shift:
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation: DOE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Compliance Manager to join our team in Allerton, Iowa. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product safety and quality in compliance with local, state, and national regulatory requirements. Role Responsibilities:

  • Create and review regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures in response to new laws and regulations.
  • Design and coordinate the preparation and review of training materials and communication tools to ensure compliance.
  • File regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Lead training and rollout of new or updated policies when required.
  • Develop and maintain HACCP procedures, SOPs, SSOPs, Food Safety Plans, and other requirements in compliance with the FSMA.
  • Maintain state certification and permits for processing.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies (PDA, FDA), and manage relationships with organic, kosher, and halal certification bodies.
  • Lead regulatory, customer, and third-party audits, managing audit responses and findings.
  • Conduct or manage internal audits to confirm compliance with SQF and other applicable requirements.
  • Oversee the Customer Complaint Program, including responses to customers.
  • Develop and maintain the Environmental Monitoring Program and pest control program in collaboration with third-party providers.
  • Manage direct reports, setting and overseeing execution of goals and objectives.
  • Oversee QA laboratory activities, providing daily work coordination and managing instrument calibration and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Develop methods for the disposition of aged and non-conforming materials, reviewing investigations related to out-of-specification results.
  • Facilitate the Supplier Approval Program with responsibility for facility risk assessment and approval of materials.
  • Maintain the Food Safety System and Quality Plan.
  • Oversee batch record review and certification of analysis.
  • Report to management on the Quality Management System's effectiveness.
  • Implement effective Root Cause Analysis and oversee the Corrective & Preventive Action Plan.
  • Champion continuous improvement in all Quality processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Food Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a Quality Control Laboratory and three to five years in Quality Management with demonstrated leadership.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP for Food, testing methodologies, and manufacturing practices per 21CFR 117.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications in HACCP, FSPCA Preventive Controls and SQF preferred.
  • Training in environmental monitoring, auditing, and statistical process control.
  • Ability to work independently, organize tasks, and manage workload.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and regulations and apply them to our products and processes.
  • Infant Formula or Food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lb./25 kg, use ladders, and perform manual labor.
