Location: Eastlake, OH

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description:
Our client, a full-service packaging equipment company in Eastlake, is seeking an experienced Quality Technician for a 3-month temporary project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and conformance of materials, parts, and finished goods to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming materials, parts, work in process, finished goods, and inventory for conformance to quality standards.
• Approve materials by confirming specifications against engineering drawings and conducting visual and measurement tests.
• Initiate and coordinate the identification, disposal, repair, and approval process when non-conformities or deviations are detected.
• Document inspection results by completing Product Quality Plans (PQP), reports, and logs.
• Evaluate and process returned goods (RMA).
• Coordinate the problem-solving process (CPAR) if defects are detected.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing in a machining environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings; knowledge of GD&T.
• Proficient in using and interpreting measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, scales, surface testers, thread gauges, bore gauges, microscopes, gauge pins, blocks, and feeler gauges.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Experience with PFMEA, APQP, Gage R&R, Capability Studies, Control Plans, and Process Flow.
• Proficient in MS Office, databases, and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
