Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician for contract-to-hire (temp-to-permanent, ~6-12 month conversion) position at a biotechnology client in St. Louis, MO. If you're passionate about bringing the latest scientific discoveries to life and are ready to take the next step in your career, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts.

Summary: This role involves managing critical material quarantine, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and CLIA standards, and maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities include ordering supplies, investigating environmental deviations, and collaborating with QA and management on safety and quality protocols. Strong organizational and technical skills are required, along with adherence to regulatory standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quarantine and release procedures for critical materials.
  • Order approved reagents and supplies for the laboratory.
  • Investigate and address temperature and humidity deviations.
  • Review internal installation and maintenance documentation.
  • Prepare documents for periodic evaluations.
  • Assess data and reports to ensure their accuracy and integrity.
  • Promote adherence to sample result turn-around-time expectations.
  • Work with QA and management to ensure laboratory procedures meet ISO 13485 and CLIA standards.
  • Update and create SOPs, forms, and logs to reflect current laboratory practices.
  • Participate in both internal and external audits.
  • Test and evaluate spreadsheets during validation processes.
  • Comply with all company quality, privacy, and safety standards, as well as applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Education/Skills:

  • Associate's degree or higher in chemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred.
  • High attention to detail with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, capable of maintaining workflow and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with database management.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Solid understanding of relevant biosafety regulations, policies, and procedures.


Compensation and Schedule:

  • Pay Rate: $24-$26 per hour
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
