Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiving Specialist to join the Distribution team of a leading manufacturer in Rochester, NY. This key position facilitates the receipt, processing, and safe storage of incoming goods within the warehouse locations. Using the company ERP, the Receiving Specialist ensures accurate labeling, inventory tracking, and efficient stock movement—all with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and organization. You will play a critical part in supporting the warehouse operations and helping deliver superior service. Responsibilities

  • Unload all incoming freight and transport goods to the receiving area for processing.
  • Label received products and place them in assigned bin locations to ensure accurate inventory placement.
  • Transport stock between auxiliary warehouse and main warehouse as needed.
  • Assist with loading outgoing freight when required.
  • Pick outgoing customer orders from warehouse locations and deliver to order processing staff.
  • Package Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments for outgoing deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the loading dock and receiving area.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming packing lists and collaborate with Distribution Manager to resolve discrepancies or damaged freight.
  • Perform cycle counts and bin location changes using our ERP system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Forklift Experience: Minimum 2-5 years operating various warehouse equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, order picker lifts, and a power handjack with minimal training.
  • Receiving/Inventory Control: At least 1-3 years of experience in receiving or inventory control.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
