Kelly Science is seeking a Scientist for a growing company located in Boston, MA.
 
Pay: $28-32/hour depending on experience
Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Employment Type: 6 month contract
 
Summary:
 
As a Scientist, you will be developing, optimizing, and validating assays for in-vitro diagnostic systems. You will be designing and building prototype assays, testing raw materials, in-process reagents and on the market materials in support to the development project teams and for the transfer of the next generation assays to the manufacturing processes.
 
Job duties include:

  • Execute test protocols and collect data.
  • Report and analyze results through presentations and reports.
  • Prepare and mix reagents for experiments.
  • Prototype and build R&D cartridges for feasibility, equivalency, and precision studies.
  • Conduct feasibility and DOE studies using protocols or INVs.
  • Handle challenging samples with support, including WB handling.
  • Collaborate on non-TEG assays for abciximab/abcixiRel comparisons.
  • Execute test protocols on TEG, including TEG 5000, with a focus on WB handling.
  • Assist in cartridge preparation and running tests, ensuring accurate results.
  • Support general lab operations to maintain a safe and stocked environment.
  • Troubleshoot processes and test failures, providing solutions without handling root cause analysis or large-scale product troubleshooting.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific related field
  • 2-3 years of experience working within a laboratory handling biological samples and chemicals.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of in vitro diagnostics assays is strongly preferred.
