Semiconductor Equipment Technician - Oneida, NY
Job Summary:
The Semiconductor Equipment Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and collaborating with the engineering team to enhance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, defects, and downtime issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Installation: Assist in installing new equipment and updating existing machinery with the latest components and technology.
- Compliance: Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production staff to improve equipment performance and process efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Training: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and support staff as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance or a similar technical role.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of semiconductor equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and repair methods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for interaction with team members and documentation purposes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
