Salary: $75k-105k (dependent on relevant experience)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bench-Level Scientist with expertise in assay development for drug discovery. The successful candidate will be an essential part of our research and development team, contributing to the discovery and validation of new therapeutic targets and pathways. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, with a focus on biochemistry and cell biology, and requires a passion for scientific discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to study biochemical pathways and cellular processes for drug discovery.
- Develop and optimize assays for protein function, interactions, and cellular responses.
- Conduct biochemical and cell culture experiments, including the maintenance of various cell lines.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, Western blotting, and immunoprecipitation.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, presenting findings to the research team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance drug discovery projects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated with scientific literature to apply new methodologies in research.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant industry experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience.
- Strong technical skills in biochemistry and cell biology, including assay development, protein analysis, and cell culture techniques.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and Western blotting.
- Experience with biophysical techniques such as SPR, GCI, MST, and other equilibrium binding assays.
- Expertise in enzymology and both soluble and membrane protein/enzyme biochemistry.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DEL screening.
- Knowledge or experience with molecular glues.
- Experience in reviewing and critiquing formal documents.
- Ability to generate formal protocols.
