Kelly is hiring!
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Transportation Analyst (SR Coordinator) to provide 1-year maternity leave coverage within our logistics and planning operations team. This position plays a critical role in coordinating day-to-day driver operations, load assignments, compliance for cross-border shipments, and real-time communication across teams.
Working a rotating 4 on / 4 off schedule, the successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between drivers, planners, and internal departments, ensuring all transportation activities are executed efficiently, compliantly, and with minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities:

  • Meat Load Compliance: Monitor southbound meat loads to ensure required USDA/CFIA meat inspections are submitted before continuing. Escalate any missing or incorrect documentation promptly.
  • Driver Communication Management: Handle all satellite messages, calls, and emails from assigned and overflow driver queues, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Load Assignment Coordination:
  • Follow up with the Planning team to ensure drivers are preplanned ahead of their PTA (Projected Time of Availability).
  • Confirm drivers receive load assignments in a timely manner and acknowledge receipt.
  • Book pickup appointments for northbound shipments.
  • Issue Escalation: Proactively escalate driver concerns (e.g., load refusals, sick/breakdown calls, missed ETAs) to Driver Managers or appropriate internal contacts.
  • Trip Monitoring:
  • Track all drivers en route to ensure on-time performance.
  • Communicate and escalate ETA changes to internal stakeholders, shippers, or receivers.
  • Rebook appointments as needed in coordination with CSRs and planning.
  • Operational Support: Serve as a point of contact for drivers on the road—resolving real-time concerns related to breakdowns, trip plans, or general support issues.
  • Customer Coordination: Liaise with Loblaw CSR to ensure appointment booking and updates are communicated clearly and promptly, particularly when loads are not pre-scheduled. Preferred Skills & Software Experience:
    • PC Miler – Route mapping and mileage calculations
    • Trimble/Truckmate – TMS (Transportation Management System)
    • Border Connect – ACE/ACI compliance and customs documentation
    • Samsara – Fleet tracking and driver performance monitoring
    • Microsoft Teams & Outlook – Communication and coordination
    Qualifications:
    • 3–5 years of experience in transportation coordination, dispatch, or logistics operations
    • Strong knowledge of cross-border compliance (ACE/ACI, meat inspections, T&E Bonds, etc.)
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to handle high volumes of information and prioritize tasks in real time
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
    • Proficient with transportation software and Microsoft Office tools
    • Comfortable working independently in a structured 4-on/4-off shift environment
    What's in it for YOU:
    • Pay rate $23/hour + vacation pay
    • Full time contract with opportunity of permanent conversion for the right candidate
    • Weekly pay via direct deposit
